I went digital but missed the feel of the TLR so I got this 2 weeks ago in Prague.Ģ) You don't have your face hidden when taking a shot so you can talk to people.ģ) You take 1 shot per subject, not a dozen.Ĥ) Because I'm tall, if I hold a camera at eye level, the subjects head may be 3 feet away but their feet may be 10 feet away, a very odd perspective. Why? I had a 124G for 10 years or more but it was killed by lens fungus. The best place for good working folders is Jurgen Kreckel. Now that digital is here, they are relatively cheap. I have always wanted to own most of these cameras but they were always out of reach. Lately, I have been looking for a Bronica SLR. Voigtander Perkeo 1's with Vaskar and Skopar lensesīessa 66 and Bessa 6X9's with Vaskar and Skopar lenses Zeiss Ikonta 521/16's and 521/C's with Novar lenses No battery's, no light meter, just you and the camera. The quality from 120 film and 1950/60's cameras is amazing. I sold all my digital gear six months after acquiring my first 'Folder'. I never shot film before using a Holga, the experience was liberating and led me away from digital photography. Plus 2 others which are newer than 25 years old.
